Spiderman 2: At the beginning of the opening sequence the logos are presented to the audience by the use of a fast paced and exciting soundtrack that begins at a low volume, which then gradually increases later. Also as the logos are presented, one of them is “Marvel” which consists of flickering comic pictures of action sequences and the quick diegetic sounding of the pages turning. By doing this the action/superhero genre is presented to the audience since “Marvel” are well known to create comic books. After the logo part has finished, there is a large amount of extreme close ups, ranging from a watch, to hands typing to his concerned eyes, the information on his computer screen and then where the card gets slid through the swipe. The fact that a scientific figure is shown and represented when Richard’s costume during a specific scene is where he is wearing a white lab coat and wearing a pair of glasses, which this the represents him as previously being a scientist. After this part is shown there is a relatively slow panning camera movement as he overviews the spiders in their cages, which would then imply to the audience that these specific spiders have been created and used to test experiments on. The setting of this scene appears to be hi-tech steel, and a shiny laboratory, which consists of props like technically computers. This could potentially represent the fact that the film is slightly Sci-Fi based, but then on the other hand you can see that the lighting is quite low and in a way a type of dull lighting. Following up from this, there is a conversation between Richard, his wife, and Peter, who play Spiderman; this specific scene is filmed from outside of the house by using a wide angled shot. The sounding and volume of the dialogue is very low showing the audience that its not one of the most important aspects of the film and which does not have a big affect on what is happening in the film, or on the other hand this could be seen by the audience as something that is going to come up later on in the film, that is why everything is so quite. After this occurs there is a police car chase scene, which involves three bad people in a lorry, which is, are getting chased by police. You can clearly see that a tracking shot is used when Spider man is travelling through the streets of New York, the fact that these different clips are used and shown in such quick timing shows to the audience that it is quite a dramatic scene and that it is quite a tense scene. When the lorry then crashes you can see 22 polices cars as they crash into the back of the lorry showing how intense and how much of an important scene this opening part is. This specific clip is shown in a wide angled shot due to the fact that the producers want the audience (which would generally be the younger generation) to feel like this part is a big deal in the film and that it is starting on a good level. Finally, you can see the fact that when the doors get opened from the back of the van you can hear the diegetic soundings of the sirens and the gunshots.
